So here are the results of our successful trip to Safeway on Friday night. We didn't quite get exactly what we set out for, but still scored some fantastic deals and prices. So, our shopping car included:
1 12-pack of Pepsi Max
3 12-packs of Regular Pepsi
2 boxes Wheat Thins
2 boxes Reynolds Wrap
1 32-ounce block Lucerne Cheddar Cheese
1 16-ounce tub Lucerne Sour Cream
1 Fresh Express Spinach Clam Shell
Transaction 2: Total before coupons $15.37, after coupons $2.55 out of pocket!
3 Skippy Peanut Butters
2 Tack Tortillas
This second transaction caused several problems, we think it had something to do with the type of peanut butter Susie picked (honey roasted flavor, with the orange cap). It took about an extra 20-30 minutes and assistance from the cashier in order to press through the transaction.
And best of all, because we did self check-out, Susie actually found $5.00 that the previous customer accidentally left in the change spot!
All in all, massive savings and a fun night at Safeway had by all :)
